Tata Power Transmission Milestone Analysis
Tata Power Company Limited has strengthened its power transmission infrastructure by commissioning the second element of its Jalpura-Khurja Transmission Project in Uttar Pradesh. Executed via its wholly-owned subsidiary, the project features a 162 CKM 400 kV double-circuit line and a 1,000 MVA GIS substation at Jalpura. With total scheme capital costs around ₹838 crore, the line connects the Khurja power node to NCR demand centers under a 35-year TBCB concession model. Financially, the asset will deliver stable, annuity-style returns, adding ~₹100 crore in annual revenues and ~₹85–₹100 crore in EBITDA with minimal operational risk. While this project reinforces Tata Power’s execution capabilities and adds predictable cash flows, its scale is minor relative to the company's consolidated operations. Investors should view this as a steady operational execution step that supports the stock’s underlying utility valuation
