Teamtech Formwork IPO

Teamtech Formwork is hitting the SME market with its IPO May 19–21, seeking to raise ₹50 crore for manufacturing expansion and debt repayment. While the company provides essential infrastructure components—like customized formwork panels for bridges and pillars—a deep dive into their financials reveals a complex story for potential investors. The company is currently operating on leased land, though they plan to utilize IPO funds to set up plants on owned land. Financially, Teamtech shows strong growth, with revenue jumping from ₹33 crore to ₹54 crore. However, a massive red flag emerges: the "explosive" revenue growth is mirrored by an equally ballooning trade receivables figure. This suggests that much of the reported income is "push sales" rather than actual cash flowing into the business. With the promoter’s stake set to dilute to 60% and a history of listing managers whose past IPOs underperformed initially, the risk-reward ratio remains questionable. The valuation P/E ratio of 23 appears reasonable on the surface, but the underlying cash flow concerns and reliance on "forced" sales make long-term stability uncertain. Unless strong market sentiment the "Hawa" drives a listing pop of 30-40%, caution is advised. Wait for transparent, consistent results before locking in your capital.
