Investment Portfolio The company has a diversified investment portfolio consisting of investments in companies in the form of equity & bonds. They have invested in 85 companies as on 31st March, 2023, out of which 62 are Quoted and 23 are unquoted companies. The company invests in Tata and non-Tata companies, though investments in Tata companies constitute a larger portion of company's portfolio. Investments Breakup As of Fy23, Company's investments include quoted equity shares (80%) with a net value of ~Rs. 2577 crs. and unquoted equity shares (20%) with a net value of ~Rs. 650 crs Subsidiary As of FY23, company has a subsidiary Simto Investment Company Ltd. which is registered as a NBFC with the Reserve Bank of India. The Company manages its portfolio to capitalize on activities arising out of short term volatility in the market. Simto’s resources have been augmented in FY23 both with quasi-equity infusion of Rs. 150 crs in the form of 8.70% Compulsorily Cumulative Convertible Preference Shares issued on a rights basis to its shareholders and an issuance of Rs. 250 crs of Commercial Paper.
