Tata Power Company Ltd is primarily involved in the business of the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. It aims to produce electricity completely through renewable sources. It also manufactures solar roofs and plans to build 1 lakh ev charging stations by 2025 The company is India's largest vertically-integrated power company. Business Segments 1) Transmission & Distribution (62% in 9M FY25 vs 59% in FY22): [1] [2] The company has a transmission network of 4,633 Ckm across Mumbai, UP, West Bengal, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Haryana. Its distribution operations serve 12.5 Mn customers across Mumbai, Odisha, and Delhi through Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL) and Ajmer through TP Ajmer Distribution Ltd (TPADL). 2) Thermal & Hydro Power Generation (24% in 9M FY25 vs 17% in FY22): The company has a power generation capacity of 880 MW from hydroelectric sources and 9,300+ MW from thermal sources, including coal, gas, and oil, through owned and leased plants, along with related ancillary services. It is also engaged in coal mining, trading, shipping, and related infra business, with a total mining capacity of 78 MT in Indonesia. 3) Renewables (13% in 9M FY25 vs 17% in FY22): The company has a renewable energy portfolio of 5,384 MW, including solar and wind projects. It also develops rooftop solar systems, operates 1.3+ lakh EV charging stations, and provides solar cell and module manufacturing, EPC, and maintenance services. It has a solar module manufacturing capacity of 4,982 MW and a solar cell capacity of 4,530 MW and an additional cell line of 300 MW is expected to be commissioned in Q4 FY25. 4) Others (1% in 9M FY25 vs 7% in FY22): The company offers project management contracts, infrastructure management services, satellite communication, etc. Capacity Under Construction Hydro Power Plants: 2,400 MW Pumped Hydro Storage Projects (PSPs): 2,800 MW Renewable Energy: 5,517 MW Transmission Pipeline: 2,414 Ckm
