Sun TV Network was established in 1985 as Sumangali Publications Private Limited and was later renamed as Sun TV Network Limited. Sun TV, the flagship channel of the company, was started in 1993. STNL is primarily involved in television broadcasting. Besides, it produces/distributes movies under the banner Sun Pictures. Company is one of the largest Television Broadcasters in India operating Satellite Television Channels across six languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bangla and presently airing FM radio. The Company produces its own content / acquires the related rights. The Company is the owner of IPL franchise “SunRisers Hyderabad” & SunRisers Eastern Cape Cricket South Africa’s T20 League, and also opened a branch office in South Africa. The Company also operates an OTT platform “SUNNXT“ Company has a strong viewership, with the flagship channel Sun TV commanding a leading position (1st in Tamil Nadu/ Pondicherry and 5th in India as per BARC data in terms of viewership/impressions in general entertainment category. Company's channel have consistently been among the top five in terms of viewership across all South Indian languages. As on 9MFY24, Company has 31 channels in four southern languages across various genres and two channels in the regional entertainment category in Bangla and Marathi • We expect earnings to grow by 4.5% in FY26E & grow by 5.3% in FY27E. • Sun TV expects some improvement in Q4 led by price hike. • Sun wins the bid to acquire Northern Superchargers franchise in The Hundred.
