State Bank of India Q4FY25 Results, Healthy loan growth and asset quality, margins ease; beats street’s estimates.
State Bank of India has reported 10% decline in net profit at Rs 18642.59 crore for the quarter ended March 2025 (Q4FY2025). The bank has posted 3% growth in net interest income (NII), while the core fee income of the bank improved 13% in Q4FY2025. The Net Interest Margin (NIM) of the bank declined to 3.00% in Q4FY2025 compared to 3.28% in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
On business front, the bank as has posted 11% growth in business with 12% surge in loan book. The asset quality of the bank has continued to improve in Q4FY2025. Bank has raised the credit to deposit ratio to 78.4% at end March 2025 from 76.6% at end March 2024. CASA ratio of the bank has declined slightly to 38.4% at end March 2025 from 39.5% at end March 2024.
Asset quality improves: The bank has improved asset quality in Q4FY2025.
• The fresh slippages of loans stood at Rs 4319 crore in Q4FY2025 compared with 4146 crore in previous quarter and Rs 3984 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
• The recoveries and upgradations of NPAs stood at Rs 1739 crore and the write-off of loans was at Rs 10060 crore in Q4FY2025.
• The standard restructured loan book of the bank stood at Rs 12923 crore end March 2025 compared to Rs 13707 crore a quarter ago.
• Provision coverage ratio rose to 92.08% at end March 2025 compared to 91.74% a quarter ago and 91.89% a year ago.
• The capital adequacy ratio of the bank stood at 14.3% with Tier I ratio at 12.1% at end March 2025.
• The risk weighted assets of the bank has increased 13% YoY to Rs 3649131 crore end March 2025
Business Highlights:
