Q2 FY27 results are out: the strongest underlying sales growth in 14 quarters, but margins tell a different story.
Key numbers (Q2 FY27 vs Q2 FY26):
✅ Revenue from operations: ₹18,226 Cr, up 14.5%
✅ Underlying sales growth 15%, underlying volume growth 7%
✅ Net profit: ₹2,790 Cr, up 3.9% (PAT before exceptional items up 9.5%)
✅ EBITDA: ₹4,089 Cr, up 8%; EBITDA margin down 140 bps to 22.6%
✅ Home Care revenue up 21.4%, Beauty & Wellbeing up 15.7%; Personal Care volumes flat
✅ Interim dividend of ₹19 per share (record date 12 Nov 2026)
✅ Management keeps 22–24% EBITDA margin guidance and flags short-term commodity inflation
What to study: Is this volume-led growth sustainable if input costs rise? Can the premium portfolio protect margins?
