How to Use Moving Average Confluence for High-Conviction Trades
Most traders use only one moving average (like 20 EMA or 50 DMA), but confluence of multiple moving averages gives stronger and more reliable signals.
🔹 What is Confluence?
When 2 or more moving averages align at the same price zone — it acts as a powerful support or resistance.
✅ Example Setup:
If a stock is holding above 20 EMA, 50 EMA, and 200 DMA, and all are pointing upward, the trend is strong.
Now, if price retraces to that zone (where all 3 MAs cluster), it becomes a high-probability buying opportunity.
📌 Entry: Near MA zone
📌 SL: Just below lowest MA
📌 TGT: Previous swing high or risk-reward based
🧠 MA confluence works best in strong trending stocks, especially in largecaps and momentum-based setups.
