IRFC profit growth keeps financing momentum
Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited reported strong profitability in recent quarters, with Q3 FY26 PAT reaching ₹1,802.19 crore, up 10.52% year on year. Its nine-month PAT reached ₹5,324.86 crore. IRFC
The more important point is that IRFC had already achieved its ₹60,000 crore annual sanction guidance within nine months. Its AUM also reached a record ₹4.75 lakh crore by December 2025, supported by diversification beyond traditional railway financing. IRFC
My view is that sanction growth is useful only if it converts into disbursements and sustainable interest income. The company’s diversification strategy therefore needs to be judged through asset growth, margins and credit quality rather than sanction numbers alone.
I will watch the next results for disbursement growth, NIM movement and further progress in diversified financing.
