share price: Stock jumps 6% on domestic supply priority rule; up 32% in five trading session

Adani Total Gas Ltd.'s share price spiked over 6 per cent on Friday as gas stocks continued their rally despite steep losses in the benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex. Investor sentiment stayed positive for the gas stocks after the government notified the Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026, which gives priority access to domestically produced natural gas for critical segments such as compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG). Adani Total Gas has seen a sharp rally in recent sessions, gaining nearly 32 per cent over the past five trading days. The stock is also up about 18.4 per cent over the past month, while posting a more modest 1.78 per cent rise over the past six months, reflecting a strong short‑term momentum after a relatively subdued medium‑term performance.
