Assam ONGC gas blowout : The leakage of gas at a well of energy major ONGC in Sivasagar district of Assam continued for the fourth day today, June 15, forcing the authorities to shift 70 families to a relief camp, news agency PTI reported as said by officials. ONGC Director (Technology & Field Services) Vikram Saxena along with his team took over the operational control of Well No RDS 147, where the blowout took place, on Saturday, the official further informed. “The well killing process is going on, and we have mobilised all necessary equipment for the same. The Crisis Management Team (CMT) is working on war-footing to control the leakage," an official told PTI.
