share after demerger? Analyst Aditya Agarwala's view

HUL shares on December 5 -- turned ex-date for demerger of its ice cream business Kwality Wall's (India) Limited (KWIL). Post this, Kwality Wall's became a separate listed entity. Trading in Kwality Wall's shares will start the listing for which a separate date will be announced in the due course. HUL had earlier said that December 5 will be considered as the record date for the demerger exercise. Under the demerger ratio of 1:1, one share of Kwality Wall's will be issued to the eligible shareholders of HUL. Kwality Wall's shares will have a face value of Re 1. Meanwhile, HUL shares adjusted on NSE by Rs 40.20 or 1.63 per cent at Rs 2422 versus the previous close of Rs 2,464.10.
