Crisis: Airline plans massive Rs 500-crore payout for December travel mess | DETAILS

IndiGo is conducting a detailed review of the flight disruptions that occurred between December 3 and 5 and plans to compensate impacted passengers starting January. The airline expects total payouts to exceed Rs 500 crore. Indigo said that the airline is currently identifying flights where customers were severely impacted and stranded between December 3-5 and all such customers will be contacted in January to receive compensation. "The estimated compensation is expected to exceed Rs 500 crore for flights cancelled within 24 hours of departure," said IndiGo.
