Hotels block deal: BAT offloads 9% stake 11 months after demerger; stock skids

ITC Hotels Block Deal: Mumbai: ITC Hotels shares are in focus today (December 5) on account of a block deal wherein BAT (British American Tobacco) offloaded 9 per cent stake. ITC Hotels shares started the session in green at Rs 211.50 on NSE versus the previous close of Rs 207.72. The counter surrendered the gains in early few minutes and traded in the red, making an intraday low of Rs 205.20, down 1.21 per cent. Around 1 PM, ITC Hotels shares traded 0.85 per cent lower at Rs 205.95. As many as 83 lakh shares of the company changed hands around the same time on NSE. On BSE, ITC Hotels quoted in the red at Rs 206 with 3.68 lakh equities changing hands versus two-week average traded quantity of 1.09 lakh.
