Share Price Target 2025 : State-owned Punjab National Bank (PNB) is on the radar of leading brokerage firm Motilal Oswal . The brokerage has maintained its Buy rating on PNB and expects up to 10 per cent upside from Thursday’s closing price.
According to the brokerage, PNB has a strong balance sheet, making it one of the top picks in the PSU banking space. It also noted that the bank’s asset quality has improved, supported by a healthy provision coverage ratio.
How did asset quality perform?
MOSL pointed out that PNB’s gross non-performing assets (GNPA) reduced to 3.78 per cent, while net NPAs (NNPA) stand at 0.38 per cent, supported by a provision coverage ratio (PCR) of 90.3 per cent.
With credit costs at just 14 basis points, among the lowest in the system, the brokerage believes the bank’s earnings trajectory is well-supported.
Analysts at the brokerage have projected that the PSU will deliver a consistent return on assets (RoA) of around 1 per cent in the next years--by FY27–28-- to 1.1–1.25 per cent.#TechnicalViews#StockInNews#WatchOutFor#SectorBreakouts#EquityResearch
