share price: PVR Inox share price plunged 8.24 per cent to Rs 1,126 on the BSE during Monday’s intra-day trading, marking its sharpest intra-day decline in the past six months. The last time the multiplex operator’s stock witnessed a steeper intra-day fall was on March 2, 2026, when it tumbled 12 per cent.
The sharp decline in PVR Inox shares came after reports that the company asked a senior executive to leave in April following an internal investigation into alleged kickbacks received from developers involved in constructing cinema properties.
According to an Economic Times report, PVR Inox conducted an internal investigation into alleged payments received from developers associated with cinema-property projects. The alleged payments are said to have occurred over several years and could amount to as much as Rs 200 crore. ICICI Securities said in a note that the executive named in the report was Pramod Arora, who was responsible for Growth & Investment and played a key role in PVR’s expansion into smaller cities. Arora resigned from the company in May 2026.#IndexStrategies#EquityResearch#MacroViews#TimeToExit#SectorBreakouts
