Q4 FY26 business update: Tata Steel, on Tuesday, said that it has reported its ‘best-ever annual’ crude steel production of 23.48 million tons in India in FY26. With this, production was up 8 per cent YoY (year-on-year), from the previous fiscal, primarily aided by the Kalinganagar ramp-up, partly offset by the shutdown of the ‘G’ blast furnace for relining at Jamshedpur. In the fourth quarter of FY26, crude steel production rose by 15 per cent YoY to 6.25 million tonnes from 5.44 MT reported in the year-ago period, according to the provisional figures of Tata Steel.
