shares tumble 13% after company unveils creation of new listed entity

The UPL share price fell 13 per cent to hit the lower circuit, trading lower at Rs 650 apiece on Monday. The share price came under pressure after the company announced a scheme of arrangement between UPL Agri, UPL Global Agri, and UPL Crop on Friday. Under this scheme, UPL will merge its subsidiary, UPL Sustainable Agri Solutions, into the company. UPL Share Price Over the past week, UPL's share price has fallen 10.43 per cent, adding to a 6.44 per cent decline over the past month and a steep 18.38 per cent drop year‑to‑date. In contrast, the Nifty Midcap 50 has slipped only 1.27 per cent over one week, rising 2.82 per cent over one month, and falling a milder 3.08 per cent year‑to‑date. However, over longer horizons, UPL’s returns turn positive, with gains of 1.69 per cent over one year, 20.69 per cent over five years, though still showing a decline of 8.26 per cent over three years
