Stock in focus! Hits 52-week high before closing lower - Here’s why

Shares of mining conglomerate Vedanta tumbled 1.29 per cent to settle at Rs 593.35 per share on Monday, December 29, 2025. During the day, the counter swung between Rs 616 and Rs 590.15 apiece and at Rs 616, it hits its 52-week high level. The previous close for the stock came in at Rs 601.10 per share. Despite a drop on Monday, the stock is still 1.34 per cent up in a week and 7.88 per cent up in 2 weeks. Anil Agarwal-led mining company is a constituent of BSE 100 index and enjoys a market capitalisation of Rs 2,32,022.88 crore. Critical mining auction win Vedanta shares jumped 2.47 per cent to a fresh 52-week high of Rs 616 on the BSE on Monday, December 29, driven by strong investor interest in metal stocks and after the company emerged as the successful bidder for the Depo Graphite-Vanadium Block.
