Yes Bank stake sale : Private lender on Friday confirmed that Japanese banking giant SMBC will be picking up a significant stake in it as its largest shareholder !SBI , among others will be selling their stake. Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation will be acquiring a 20 per cent stake in the private sector lender through a secondary stake purchase. In what is set to be the largest cross-border investment in the Indian banking sector, Yes Bank will see its shareholding change with SBI, Federal, Bank, !HDFC Bank, Bandhan Bank, among others reducing their holding in it. The transaction is subject to approvals including from the RBI and CCI.
