NTPC Green Energy commissions 50 MW solar capacity

,subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Ltd has declared commercial operation of 50 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan. The commissioned capacity forms part of a 200 MW round-the-clock renewable energy project in the state. With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 91,506 MW. The commissioning marks another step in NTPC’s expansion of renewable generation capacity and supports its growing presence in solar and round-the-clock renewable power projects. The remaining capacity under the 200 MW project will be important for tracking the pace of project completion and the overall contribution of renewable assets to the group’s generation portfolio.
