Apex Frozen Foods shares remained in focus after the company reported a sharp improvement in its June-quarter performance. Net profit rose around 138% year-on-year to ₹21.67 crore, compared with ₹9.10 crore in the year-ago period, while sales remained broadly stable at ₹256.53 crore. The strong earnings performance triggered significant buying interest in the stock.
The improvement was also reflected at the operating level, with the company’s operating profit margin rising substantially during the quarter. On Friday, Apex Frozen Foods shares jumped as much as 20% to ₹441.20, before paring some gains. Trading volumes were also significantly higher than normal, indicating strong investor participation.
The company’s strong Q1 performance builds on the turnaround seen in FY26, when Apex Frozen Foods returned to profitability with improved margins and significantly lower debt. Investors will now focus on export demand, shrimp prices, margins and volume growth in the coming quarters. The company is also scheduled to hold its Q1 FY27 earnings call on August 18, 2026.#StockInNews
