Shares of artificial intelligence related companies, including E2E Networks, Netweb Technologies and Black Box, declined on Friday, tracking an overnight sell-off in US AI stocks and losses among similar companies across Asian markets. The global sell-off reflects growing concerns over weakening investor appetite for crowded AI trades, alongside worries about the debt-fuelled expansion of AI companies and the sustainability of their investments.
Netweb Technologies, which provides AI systems and workstations, saw its shares fall 5.2% during the session. Other AI-linked stocks, including MTAR Technologies, Anant Raj and Black Box, also came under pressure, declining between 4% and 8% on Friday. The recent weakness has extended beyond a single trading session, with shares of these companies falling between 8% and 19% over the past seven trading sessions.
The decline highlights growing caution among investors towards AI-related stocks as global market sentiment weakens and concerns mount over valuations, funding requirements and the pace at which investments in artificial intelligence will translate into sustainable returns.#StockInNews
