Hindalco Industries Ltd reported its highest-ever quarterly consolidated net profit for the April–June quarter of FY27, with earnings surging 75 percent year-on-year to Rs 7,013 crore from Rs 4,004 crore in the corresponding period last year. The strong performance was driven by robust growth across its key business segments.
The company's consolidated revenue rose 32 percent year-on-year to a record Rs 84,825 crore, while EBITDA jumped 73 percent to an all-time quarterly high of Rs 14,989 crore, reflecting strong operational performance.
Following the earnings announcement, Hindalco shares extended their gains and were trading 1.85 percent higher at Rs 1,046 in afternoon trade on Friday, August 7.
The Aditya Birla Group's metals flagship said its India business continued to deliver strong momentum during the quarter. Meanwhile, Novelis recorded improved profitability as production resumed at its Oswego plant and the benefits of its ongoing cost-optimisation programme continued to flow through.
Hindalco also reported record quarterly EBITDA across all its major businesses, including Aluminium Upstream, Aluminium Downstream, Copper and Novelis. The company attributed the strong results to supportive macroeconomic conditions, enhanced resource security, premium product innovation and continued operational excellence.
As of June 30, 2026, Hindalco's consolidated net debt-to-EBITDA ratio stood at 1.95 times, compared with 1.02 times a year earlier.
The company said its pipeline of strategic investments remains strong across both upstream and downstream operations. It is continuing to expand capacities in alumina, aluminium and copper while accelerating investments in downstream projects to support future growth.#StockInNews
