Himadri Speciality Chemical surged to a fresh 52-week high of Rs 786.85 on Monday, rising as much as 6.11 percent after the company reported record quarterly earnings. The stock later pared some gains and was trading 4.01 percent higher at Rs 771.25. The rally followed the company's strong June-quarter performance, with consolidated net profit rising 27 percent year-on-year to Rs 228 crore. The earnings growth was driven by an improved product mix and continued ramp-up in its speciality materials business. Revenue from operations increased 28 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,432 crore in Q1 FY27, up from Rs 1,118 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA climbed 33 percent to Rs 313 crore from Rs 235 crore, reflecting improved operating performance. The company reported an EBITDA margin of 22 percent and a net profit margin of 16 percent, with revenue, EBITDA and profit after tax all reaching record quarterly highs. "Despite the geopolitical backdrop, our performance was driven by an improved product mix across our core business and the continued ramp-up of our speciality materials segment," said Anurag Choudhary, Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Himadri Speciality Chemical. Looking ahead, the company plans to invest around Rs 70 crore to set up a 200-metric-tonne-per-annum carbon nanotube manufacturing facility, which is expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of FY27. Carbon nanotubes are widely used in lithium-ion batteries, semiconductors, electronics, coatings, construction materials and aerospace applications, positioning the company to tap into growing demand across high-tech industries.
