Tata Consumer Products is expected to remain in focus after its Q1 FY27 earnings, with several brokerages maintaining a positive outlook on the stock despite near-term concerns over margin pressure. The company reported a 28 percent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 427 crore, while revenue grew 12 percent during the June quarter. Analysts believe the results underline the company's resilient demand across key businesses and strong execution despite a challenging cost environment. Brokerages highlighted that Tata Consumer continues to benefit from steady growth in its India beverages business, premiumisation, and expansion of its foods portfolio. While rising prices of tea, coffee, edible oils, and packaging materials weighed on gross margins, analysts remain optimistic that the company's strong brand portfolio and pricing power will help sustain earnings growth over the medium term. Management reaffirmed its focus on profitable growth and indicated that any sustained increase in input costs would be passed on to consumers through calibrated price hikes. The company also reiterated its target of expanding operating margins by 50 to 70 basis points over the fiscal year. Most brokerages continue to recommend the stock, citing strong long-term fundamentals, an improving product mix, and continued investments in innovation and distribution despite temporary margin headwinds.
