UJJIVAN SMALL FINANCE BANK SHARES FALL 10% IN TWO SESSIONS

UJJIVANSFB
Shares of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank extended their decline, falling as much as 10 percent over the past two trading sessions. The stock had gained around 2 percent on Monday before coming under pressure following the bank’s announcement regarding the early retirement of its MD and CEO, Sanjeev Nautiyal. The bank said its board had approved Nautiyal’s request for early retirement on health grounds. Nautiyal will remain on leave from September 1, 2026, until the end of his notice period on November 30, 2026. However, he ceased to be the bank’s MD and CEO and Key Managerial Personnel with effect from September 1. Based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the board has appointed Executive Director Carol Furtado as acting MD and CEO, effective September 1, subject to approval from the Reserve Bank of India. Furtado has been a key member of Ujjivan’s leadership team and played an important role in building the bank throughout its journey. Meanwhile, the board will begin the process of identifying Nautiyal’s successor and will submit its recommendation to the RBI in due course.
