Vedanta Ltd. Completes Historic Demerger

VEDL
Strategic Listing of Split Entities Marks New Growth Era Vedanta Limited has completed its corporate restructuring, splitting its core operations into four independent listed companies—Vedanta Aluminium Metal, Vedanta Power, Vedanta Oil and Gas, and Vedanta Iron and Steel. This demerger aims to provide investors with pure-play exposure to distinct commodity segments, improving capital allocation and streamlining operational transparency across its mining, energy, and metals verticals. First Interim Dividend Announced Following Structural Split Demonstrating strong post-demerger cash flow and capital allocation discipline, Vedanta declared its first dividend after the restructuring—an interim payout of ₹5 per equity share (500% on a face value of ₹1) totaling nearly ₹1,955 crore. Supported by operational momentum and rating upgrades across its group entities, the payout underscores the company's focus on maintaining shareholder returns alongside ongoing growth investments. Surging Clean Energy Investments and EV Metals Expansion To support India’s green energy transition, Vedanta has committed over ₹21,000 crore through FY26 toward building a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) metals ecosystem. The group’s investments toward net-zero targets have crossed $1 billion, driven by a 52% year-on-year increase in renewable energy utilization across its smelters and production facilities.
