The shares of BSE Ltd, India’s oldest stock exchange and one of the most stellar performers in the market with a 3,710% return over the past five years, are facing renewed investor caution after regulatory signals from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) spooked the Street. The regulator is evaluating a structural change in the equity derivatives segment that could significantly affect trading volumes, and by extension, BSE’s revenues.
