TORNTPOWER
has received Letter of Award (LoA) from MP Power Management Company (MPPMCL) for long-term procurement of power from 1,600 MW new coal-based power plant. The LoA is received pursuant to the company’s participation in the competitive bidding process, conducted by MPPMCL, at a tariff of 5.829 Rs/kWh. The company will set up a greenfield 2x800 MW Ultra-Supercritical power plant in Madhya Pradesh on Design, Build, Finance, Own, and Operate (DBFOO) model and supply the entire capacity to MPPMCL. The requisite coal for the power plant will be arranged by MPPMCL under the SHAKTI Policy of Ministry of Coal. The project is to be commissioned within 72 months from the date of execution of the PPA. This project entails an investment of around Rs 22,000 crore.
ADANIPOWER
has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from MP Power Management Company (MPPMCL) for supply of power from a new 800 MW Ultra-supercritical thermal power plant to be developed in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. The project will help Madhya Pradesh to meet its ever-growing electricity demand owing to increased industrialization and urbanisation. The company will invest around Rs 10,500 crore towards setting up the plant and related infrastructure. The unit will be commissioned within 54 months of the appointed date.
LLOYDSME
and Energy (LMEL) has successfully commissioned its 360,000 tonnes per annum (360 KTPA) sponge iron plant at Ghugus, Maharashtra. The first of the two kilns has been successfully fired, and operations are being ramped up in a phased and calibrated manner. This plant was executed on a turnkey basis by Lloyds Engineering Works.
