Morning Market Insights | 05 August 2026
Indian markets are expected to open on a positive note, supported by firm global cues and easing crude oil prices amid optimism over a possible diplomatic breakthrough regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Lower crude prices are positive for India, as they help reduce import costs, ease inflation concerns, and improve sentiment for sectors such as banking, auto, paints, aviation, and FMCG. Investors will also remain focused on the RBI Monetary Policy announcement at 10:00 AM, which is likely to set the tone for the day's trade.
Technically, Nifty continues to maintain a positive structure after sustaining above key moving averages. Immediate support is placed at 24,250-24,320, while 24,600-24,700 remains the key intraday resistance zone. A sustained move above 24,700 could extend the ongoing rally, while the broader market trend continues to favor the bulls.
Bank Nifty Outlook
Bank Nifty is expected to outperform, aided by softer crude oil prices and expectations surrounding the RBI policy outcome. The index remains in a strong uptrend with immediate support at 57,100-57,250. On the upside, 58,200-58,250 is the first resistance zone, followed by 58,500. Any positive surprise from the RBI, especially on liquidity or growth commentary, could trigger fresh buying in banking stocks.
