Bharat Forge -Defence Tech Transfer

The Ministry of Defence, through DRDO's Vehicles R&D Establishment (VRDE), has transferred nine advanced land defence technologies. Bharat Forge received the Mounted Gun System technology license—part of the ATAGS platform—for in-house production . Major ATAGS Contract Bharat Forge co-developed the 155 mm/52 calibre ATAGS with DRDO and in March 2025 secured a ₹6,900 cr MoD deal (shared with Tata Advanced Systems) to supply ATAGS and 6×6 tow vehicles .
