What are the key differences between crowdfunding and venture capital as funding options?

Crowdfunding and venture capital are two distinct ways for startups to raise funds. Crowdfunding involves collecting small amounts of money from a large number of people, usually through online platforms like Kickstarter or Indiegogo. It's often used for product-based startups, creative ideas, or social causes. Investors in crowdfunding may receive early access to products or rewards, but not always equity. On the other hand, venture capital involves getting large investments from professional investors or firms in exchange for equity in the company. VC funding is more formal and requires a strong business model, traction, and growth potential. While crowdfunding is accessible to more startups, venture capital offers not just money but also mentorship, networks, and strategic guidance. Each route suits different types and stages of businesses.
