What are the key differences between crowdfunding and venture capital as funding options?

Crowdfunding and venture capital are two very different ways to raise money for a business. Crowdfunding involves collecting small amounts of money from a large number of people, usually through online platforms. It is often used by startups or creative projects and does not always require giving up equity. In contrast, venture capital is funding provided by professional investors who offer large sums in exchange for ownership and a say in the business. Venture capitalists usually look for high-growth potential and may become actively involved in the company's decisions. Crowdfunding is more flexible and accessible to the public, while venture capital is more structured and demanding. Both have benefits and risks, depending on the stage and type of business involved.
