Will tokenized real-world assets reshape the future of global investing in 2025?

Tokenized real-world assets are expected to transform investing by making traditionally illiquid assets like real estate, fine art, and private equity more accessible and tradeable. Using blockchain, these assets can be broken into digital tokens, allowing investors to buy fractional shares and trade them on decentralized platforms. This innovation could democratize access to high-value assets and enhance global liquidity. Additionally, transactions can be faster and more transparent due to blockchain’s traceability. However, challenges remain, including regulatory uncertainty, custodial security, and valuation accuracy. As more institutions experiment with tokenization, and regulatory frameworks evolve, these digital representations of physical assets may become a major part of mainstream investing. If adopted at scale, they could lower entry barriers and diversify portfolios, especially for retail investors seeking new opportunities beyond traditional markets.
