ACME Solar Secures ₹1,571 Crore Debt from IIFCL
ACME Solar Holdings Limited has successfully secured ₹1,571 crore in long-term project debt from the India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) to fund its 300 MW assured peak power project in Rajasthan.
Key Highlights:
Financing Structure: IIFCL will act as the sole lender with a 19-year repayment tenor, covering approximately 74% of the project’s total estimated capex of ₹2,123 crore.
Project Specs: The facility will integrate solar power with a 15 MW / 240.752 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to ensure reliable, dispatchable peak power delivery.
Revenue Visibility: The project is backed by a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a premium tariff of ₹6.28 per unit.
Funding Momentum: This tranche brings ACME Solar’s total project financing secured in the current fiscal year to ₹10,976 crore.
Strategic Outlook:
This financial closure highlights strong institutional confidence in ACME Solar’s execution and credit profile. The long-tenor, sole-lender structure minimizes refinancing risks, while the premium tariff for dispatchable, hybrid power ensures high EBITDA margins. This milestone significantly de-risks the company's massive 4,010 MW under-construction portfolio, positioning ACME to capitalize on the growing utility demand for firm, grid-stabilizing renewable energy.
