AXISCADES Subsidiary Mistral Wins ₹100 Crore Defence Order for DRDO-BEL’s LLTR Ashwini Radar
AXISCADES Technologies' subsidiary, Mistral Solutions, has secured a ₹100 crore order under India’s indigenous Low-Level Transportable Radar (LLTR) Ashwini programme, jointly developed by DRDO and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). The contract, awarded on an arm’s-length basis, involves the supply of advanced Signal and Data Processing Units (SDPUs) over two years.
The liquid-cooled SDPUs are designed to detect and track low-flying threats such as drones, helicopters, and fighter aircraft, showcasing Mistral’s expertise in high-performance embedded computing for next-gen radar systems.
This win strengthens Mistral’s position in the growing pipeline of defence electronics projects aligned with India’s push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing. The Bengaluru-based engineering firm highlighted that the deal reflects its critical role in delivering cutting-edge technology for national security platforms.
With no promoter interest in BEL and the transaction being non-related-party, the award underscores transparent and competitive procurement. CEO C. Manikandan emphasized Mistral’s commitment to supporting India’s defence indigenisation mission through innovation and strategic partnerships.
