Cochin Shipyard's MoU with KSOE
Cochin Shipyard Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korea’s HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) to explore long-term collaboration in shipbuilding and maritime development. The partnership focuses on joint exploration of new opportunities, technical knowledge sharing, and aligning with global standards.
This strategic move supports India’s vision to emerge as a global maritime hub, backed by initiatives like the Rs 25,000 crore Maritime Development Fund. The stock closed 2.08% higher post-MoU announcement, though it remains under BSE and NSE’s long-term ASM framework due to high volatility.
The company continues to strengthen its capabilities through recent collaborations, including one with Drydocks World for ship repair and offshore fabrication, aiming to build a world-class maritime ecosystem.
