Embassy Developments Increases NCD Fundraising Limit to ₹1,570 Crore
Embassy Developments Limited (EMBDL) has received approval from its board-constituted committee to raise an additional ₹1,170 crore through the private placement of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). This strategic move expands the company’s overall approved NCD issue size from the initially planned ₹400 crore to a revised total of ₹1,570 crore.
Key Issuance Details:
Instrument: Senior, secured, redeemable, unrated, and unlisted NCDs (face value of ₹1,00,000 each).
Mode: Private placement to be executed in one or more tranches.
Security: The debentures will be secured by a charge on identified assets of the company and/or its subsidiaries.
Strategic Rationale & Utilization:
Fund Usage: The capital raised will be deployed for refinancing existing indebtedness, funding ongoing project construction, meeting working capital requirements, and other general corporate purposes.
Financial Flexibility: As an enabling resolution, this approval allows EMBDL to issue the debentures in tranches as and when capital requirements arise, ensuring robust financial agility to support its real estate development pipeline.
Outlook:
By significantly scaling up its debt-raising capacity, Embassy Developments is proactively securing the financial firepower required to accelerate its construction activities, manage its liability structure, and sustain its growth trajectory in the competitive real estate market.
