Emcure Pharmaceuticals Acquires Remaining Stake in Zuventus, Bolsters Domestic Strategy
Emcure Pharmaceuticals (
EMCURE
) has taken a significant step in strengthening its domestic presence by acquiring the remaining 20.42% stake in Zuventus Healthcare Ltd from minority shareholders for ₹724.9 crore. With this transaction, Emcure will become the sole owner of Zuventus, which is expected to close in the September quarter of FY26. The acquisition will allow full financial consolidation and unlock operational synergies, supporting long-term value creation.
This move follows a strong Q4FY25 performance, where the company reported a 62% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹197.2 crore on revenue growth of 19% to ₹2,116.2 crore. The board has also proposed a final dividend of ₹3 per share, offering a 30% return to shareholders for FY25.
The acquisition aligns with Emcure’s ongoing strategy to consolidate its key assets and expand its footprint in the Indian market. Earlier in FY25, the company acquired majority control in Zuventus, and now it is moving to fully own the subsidiary to streamline operations and enhance strategic flexibility.
In parallel, Emcure has also approved the incorporation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Emcure Generics Private Limited, further reinforcing its focus on expanding its generics business.
With over 350 brands, five R&D centres, and 13 manufacturing facilities across India and globally, Emcure continues to build a vertically integrated and diversified pharmaceutical ecosystem. This latest acquisition underscores its commitment to driving growth through strategic consolidation and innovation.
