EMS Limited Wins ₹208.6 Crore Sewer Projects in Varanasi

EMS Limited has secured Lowest Bidder (L-1) status from UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi, for two major turnkey sewer construction projects with a combined value of ₹208.6 crore (excluding GST). The contracts, awarded under Regulation 30 disclosures, strengthen EMS's footprint in municipal water and sanitation infrastructure. Project Breakdown: Project 1 (₹143.8 crore): Sewer network development across 5 problematic wards (Durgakund, Nariyan, Sarainandan, Jolha Northan, Bhelupur), including laying, jointing, and house connections. Timeline: 24 months. Project 2 (₹64.8 crore): Comprehensive infrastructure in 2 wards (Hukulganj, Nai Basti), covering sewer networks, rising mains, house connections, and construction of a 23 MLD Sewage Pumping Station (SPS). Timeline: 18 months. Both projects are domestic, turnkey assignments with no related-party involvement. The scope includes end-to-end execution — from survey and soil investigation to design, material supply, and construction. This win adds significant visibility to EMS Limited's order book and underscores its growing expertise in urban sanitation solutions. With Varanasi being a priority city under national missions like AMRUT and Namami Gange, successful execution could open further opportunities in Uttar Pradesh and beyond. The projects also align with India's broader push for sustainable urban infrastructure and improved public health outcomes.
