GR Infraprojects Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at NTPC’s Mouda Super Thermal Power Station in Maharashtra, securing a contract worth ₹487.78 crore. The EPC order, announced on January 16, 2026, will be executed within 15 months and marks the company’s entry into India’s growing energy storage sector. This win is part of NTPC’s broader BESS rollout, aimed at enhancing grid stability and integrating renewable energy. The development follows another recent infrastructure win—the ₹262.28 crore gauge-conversion project for Western Railways between Kosamba and Umarpada in Gujarat, awarded with an appointed date of November 15, 2025, and a 730-day timeline. The scope includes earthwork, bridges, stations, platforms, drainage, and construction of 30 road under-bridges. These back-to-back wins underscore GR Infraprojects’ expanding footprint across power, railways, and clean energy infrastructure.
