HAL Launches Third Tejas Production Line in Nashik

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to inaugurate its third production line for the indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft in Nashik, marking a major leap in India’s aerospace and defense self-reliance. The facility, to be launched by the Defence Minister, will significantly boost manufacturing capacity, enabling faster delivery to the Indian Air Force and Navy. This expansion reinforces the ‘Make in India’ initiative, reducing dependence on foreign imports and strengthening domestic defense capabilities. With increased output, India also enhances its potential for Tejas exports, opening doors in the global fighter jet market. The Tejas, a lightweight, multirole combat aircraft developed by ADA and built by HAL, is a cornerstone of India’s push for technological sovereignty in defense.
