HUL’s Growth Strategy and Future Outlook

Hindustan Unilever (HUL), India’s largest consumer goods company, remains optimistic about stronger growth in FY26, following a 2% revenue growth in FY25. Chairman Nitin Paranjpe outlined the company’s new strategy, codenamed ‘Aspire’ , aimed at strengthening core businesses while expanding into future and emerging segments to meet evolving consumer aspirations. The FMCG sector is expected to see an upturn in FY26, driven by a stronger rural economy and rising disposable incomes. HUL is also witnessing improved volume growth prospects, supported by stable commodity inflation despite geopolitical volatility. Digital transformation is central to HUL’s strategy, with 40% of its advertising spend now directed to digital media . The company is also leveraging innovation, with over 25% of its ₹60,000-crore turnover coming from products launched in the last decade . Sustainability remains a key pillar under HUL’s ‘Compass’ strategy , which aims to mainstream sustainable living across the value chain. The company is also embracing digital commerce, particularly through the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) , which is projected to grow significantly and democratise e-commerce in India. Paranjpe stressed the importance of balancing growth with environmental responsibility, highlighting the long-term economic risks posed by climate change. Overall, HUL is positioning itself as a future-ready, agile, and socially responsible enterprise poised for sustained growth.
