JSW Infrastructure Incorporates SPV for Kolkata Outer Harbour Container Terminal Project
JSW Infrastructure Limited has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, JSW Kolkata Outer Harbour Container Terminal Private Limited, on July 10, 2026. This Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was established to execute a major port infrastructure project following a Letter of Award (LOA) from the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata.
Key Project Details:
Scope of Work: Integrated development of the Outer Container Terminal and Berths 1 through 5 at Netaji Subhash Dock, Kolkata Dock System.
Execution Model: The project will be executed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) basis under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.
SPV Structure: 100% owned by JSW Infrastructure, with an initial subscribed capital of ₹1,00,000 (10,000 equity shares of ₹10 each) infused via cash consideration.
Strategic Impact:
Port Modernization: The development is expected to significantly enhance the cargo handling capacity, turnaround time, and overall operational efficiency of the Kolkata port.
Regional Expansion: This move reinforces JSW Infrastructure's strategic expansion in the eastern Indian maritime sector, securing long-term concession revenues while strengthening its pan-India port footprint.
