JSW Infrastructure Incorporates SPV for Kolkata Outer Harbour Container Terminal Project

JSW Infrastructure Limited has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, JSW Kolkata Outer Harbour Container Terminal Private Limited, on July 10, 2026. This Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was established to execute a major port infrastructure project following a Letter of Award (LOA) from the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata. Key Project Details: Scope of Work: Integrated development of the Outer Container Terminal and Berths 1 through 5 at Netaji Subhash Dock, Kolkata Dock System. Execution Model: The project will be executed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) basis under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework. SPV Structure: 100% owned by JSW Infrastructure, with an initial subscribed capital of ₹1,00,000 (10,000 equity shares of ₹10 each) infused via cash consideration. Strategic Impact: Port Modernization: The development is expected to significantly enhance the cargo handling capacity, turnaround time, and overall operational efficiency of the Kolkata port. Regional Expansion: This move reinforces JSW Infrastructure's strategic expansion in the eastern Indian maritime sector, securing long-term concession revenues while strengthening its pan-India port footprint. Outlook: The formal incorporation of the SPV clears the regulatory path for the execution of the concession agreement.
