KEI Industries Begins Commercial Production at New Sanand Cable Plant
KEI Industries has commenced commercial production of LT/HT cables at its new greenfield manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat, marking a major milestone in its expansion strategy. The plant adds 60,732 KM of annual cable production capacity, significantly boosting the company’s output.
This facility is part of a ₹2,000 crore investment funded through QIP proceeds and internal accruals, aimed at meeting rising demand in power, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors.
The move strengthens KEI’s geographic footprint in western India, reduces logistics costs, and enhances its product capabilities in high-growth segments. Financially, the company is well-positioned for scale, with total assets up 55.4% to ₹7,234.6 crore in FY25 and fixed assets growing 28.9%, reflecting strategic capex deployment.
As KEI ramps up operations, efficient capacity utilization and market share gains will be key to translating this expansion into revenue and profitability growth—reinforcing its leadership in India’s evolving cable manufacturing landscape.
