KPI Green Energy Signs ₹4,000 Crore Renewable Energy Pact with Gujarat

KPI Green Energy has signed a ₹4,000 crore agreement with the Gujarat government to develop renewable energy projects across multiple locations in the state. The pact was inked on January 12, 2026, during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, and will be executed in a phased manner, subject to statutory approvals. This milestone underscores KPI’s growing footprint in India’s clean energy sector and reinforces its commitment to expanding solar and wind capacity in one of the country’s most progressive renewable markets. The deal follows other major developments: A $4 billion (₹36,000 crore) MoU with Botswana for renewable projects, aiming to boost its green capacity to 5 GW. On the same day, group company KP Green Engineering secured ₹819 crore in orders from BSNL for telecom infrastructure under the 4G Saturation Project. With strong domestic and international momentum, KPI Green Energy is positioning itself as a key player in India’s energy transition, leveraging strategic partnerships and policy support to scale up sustainable power generation.
