L&T Secures ₹12,500–20,000 Crore in Major Orders; Q4 Profit Moderates
Larsen & Toubro has announced significant order inflows across its Buildings & Factories (B&F) and Metals & Minerals verticals, alongside mixed Q4 FY26 financial results.
Order Book Highlights:
🔹 Real Estate (₹2,500–5,000 crore):
Hyderabad: Design and construction of 10 high-rise residential towers (55 floors + 2 basements) with clubhouses.
Mumbai: Luxury residential tower at Worli (RCC and core structure).
Karnataka: Residential villas, luxury hotel, and ancillary structures.
Strategic Fit: Reinforces L&T's leadership in premium EPC real estate, leveraging domain expertise across residential, commercial, and institutional segments.
🔹 Metals & Minerals (₹10,000–15,000 crore):
Client: JSW Steel — L&T's largest-ever domestic metals sector order.
Scope: EPC for critical process facilities including blast furnaces and steep melt shops at greenfield expansions in Ballari (Karnataka) and Paradip (Odisha).
Strategic Fit: Deepens partnership with India's leading steel producers and positions L&T as a key enabler of domestic capacity expansion under Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Revenue Growth: Driven by higher project execution and order conversions across infrastructure verticals.
Profit Moderation: YoY decline attributed to project mix, input cost pressures, and higher provisions; sharp QoQ drop reflects seasonal execution patterns and timing of milestone billings.
Strategic Outlook:
Order Momentum: Combined inflows of ₹12,500–20,000 crore strengthen visibility for FY27, particularly in high-margin real estate and capital-intensive metals EPC.
Margin Watch: Execution discipline and raw material cost management will be critical to translating revenue growth into sustainable profit expansion.
Sector Tailwinds: Both orders align with India's infrastructure capex cycle — urban real estate demand and steel capacity expansion — positioning L&T to benefit from multi-year growth trends.
