Mahindra Lifespaces Expands Portfolio with Pune Land Buy and Mumbai Redevelopment
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (MLDL) has made two strategic moves to strengthen its real estate footprint. The company acquired 13.46 acres in Nande-Mahalunge, Pune, with an estimated development potential of ₹3,500 crore. The well-connected site is near the Hinjewadi IT hub and key educational institutions, positioning it in one of Pune’s most promising micro-markets.
Simultaneously, MLDL has been selected as the preferred partner for a redevelopment project in Malad (West), Mumbai, spanning 1.65 acres with an estimated value of ₹800 crore. The project will redevelop four residential societies and benefits from strong connectivity to the Metro, railway, and business hubs like Mindspace and BKC.
These developments reinforce MLDL’s strategy of scaling in high-demand areas and deepening presence in core cities. With projects now underway in seven cities and a 49.26 million sq. ft. pipeline, the company continues to expand its premium and affordable housing portfolio under brands like Happinest® and Origins by Mahindra.
As part of its sustainability commitment, MLDL aims to deliver only Net Zero homes from 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2040—aligning growth with long-term environmental goals.
