Netweb Technologies Raises ₹1,200 Crore via Landmark QIP
Netweb Technologies India Limited has successfully raised ₹1,200 crore through its first Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) since its July 2023 listing, marking a significant milestone in its capital market journey.
Key Deal Highlights:
Issue Details: Allotment of 25.05 lakh equity shares at an issue price of ₹4,790 per share (face value ₹2).
Strong Demand: The shares were priced at a tight discount of just 1.96% to the floor price, reflecting exceptional institutional appetite.
Marquee Backing: The placement saw participation from top-tier global investors, including Goldman Sachs, Nomura, and Amundi, alongside major domestic mutual funds.
Strategic Rationale:
Working Capital Fortification: High-end server and AI system manufacturing are highly capital-intensive. This fresh equity infusion resolves working capital constraints, allowing seamless execution of large-scale supercomputing projects.
Order Book Execution: The funds will directly support the delivery timelines of the company’s robust order book, which stood at ₹2,506.94 crore at the end of the June quarter of FY27.
Enabling Mega-Bids: A strengthened balance sheet mitigates the liquidity risks that typically restrict hardware OEMs, positioning Netweb to aggressively bid for mega-scale state and sovereign AI contracts.
Market Implications & Outlook:
This timely capital raise capitalizes on Netweb’s strong market valuation and recent robust earnings. By bringing premier global funds into its shareholder base, the company has not only de-risked its balance sheet but also validated its leadership in India’s high-performance computing and AI infrastructure ecosystem, setting the stage for sustained, scalable growth.
